Batson Haines is a duo comprised of Nashville-based singer/songwriters Jeff Batson and Eric Haines. Eric and Jeff are both seasoned performers who relocated to Nashville after many years of honing their crafts around their respective hometowns of Frederick, Maryland, and Cahokia, Illinois. Jeff was nominated for a Grammy for co-writing the title track of TracyLawrence's gospel release, "The Rock." His music has been recorded by numerous other artists, as well as used in national advertising campaigns. Eric is a gifted musician, writer and producer with a number of outside credits to his name. His music has been featured on the nationally syndicated Phil Valentine show. Their vocal blend is reminiscent of classic acts like Loggins & Messina and England Dan & John Ford Coley, while their songs will appeal to anyone who enjoys good, honest music. They like to say they write "real songs about real life." Their cover song list is expansive and includes a variety of classic rock, country and blues favorites. A Batson Haines live show packs a punch that rivals any of their country music contemporaries like Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich and Montgomery Gentry.

As a guitarist from the age of 13, Jay Brewer has had a musical past of playing in various bands, writing and performing soul, funk and jazz. This period allowed him to learn different musical styles, ranging from bossa nova to hip hop to flamenco. This helped broaden his knowledge of harmony, melody and rhythm for use in his own material.

His production combines this with his more recent love for electronic music, notably artists like Bonobo, Kaytranada and Sam Gellaitry. Wide sweeping synths fused with orchestral instrumentation and his soulful guitar style creates a blend of rich harmonies and delicate melodies. At the core are playful drum grooves and bass lines overlaid by intricate percussion. Merging these elements, Melliflux aims to create a deep and immersive listening experience.

Four years.

Four original albums.

Thousands of shows around the country.

Three years after picking up a guitar in a college dorm room, Anthony Mossburg left the stability of a full-time job to chase after the only thing that made him feel alive; music.

What followed over the next four years was a series of accolades, achievements, risks, near-misses, and setbacks that indefinitely shaped him as an artist and a person. With several bootstrap tours and three independent albums under his belt, Anthony is now living in Columbus, Ohio, and is headlining shows around the country.

His breakthrough song, “Whiskey and Wine”, introduced a new sound to his avid fanbase, and shed a light into his evolution as an artist. The hard work and risks didn’t go unnoticed. Early in 2015, the song broke into the Top 10 on coveted iTunes Singer/Songwriter category.

Now, he is squaring his sights on introducing his soulful voice, gutsy lyrics, and melodic tones into a new direction that will push his creative talent like never before. This is just the beginning.

Nate McDonough hails from the city of Springfield, Ohio. Some of Nate's earliest memories are of sitting at the feet of his father and listening to him play guitar, while his mother sang along to songs by John Denver. At age 13, Nate picked up a guitar, and was headlining his own shows by the age of 15. Nate was writing and recording his own original material, which eventually led to his solo album release, "New Day". The album was met with critical acclaim, comparing Nate's working-class, everyman-style lyrics to a 'southern Bruce Springsteen', and hailing him as 'the next legend to light up the music scene'. The positive reception of Nate's solo material earned him regional airplay for the songs "New Day" and 'She's Down", and opening slots touring across the country for various national acts.

new albany | live music | george barrie

“What kind of sound could fill this silence?” George Barrie sang in the midst of a  Brothers Drake concert headlined by his namesake band. It didn’t take long for the trio of players backing the singer/guitarist to craft a response, locking into a blues-rock swing awash in jazzy keyboard fills, rubbery bass and steady, rhythmic drumming.

Barrie, a longtime member of soul/funk crew MojoFlo, stepped out on his own for this EP release show (a full-length is currently in process and should see daylight sometime next year), though the quartet’s songs tended to avoid solitude, instead tracing the romantic battles between would-be and former lovers. Over the course of the evening, the frontman challenged a paramour to do their worst (“Cause your worst is still better than all the rest”), described a relationship as a trial-worthy offense (“This love’s a crime of the first degree”) and soaked up the words “I love you” like so much wine on the faith-restoring “I Believe.”

Barrie will be joining us as a solo acoustic artist, and we are thrilled to have him.

murfreesboro | live music | dalton gray

Dalton Gray was born in Bryan, Texas. As soon as he could talk at 2 years old, singing was clearly to be a natural piece of his future. Dalton wrote songs and scripts and was fascinated with instruments as early as 5 years old.

Dalton's family located to Austin, TX for his 8th grade year through High School. Being located in Music City, Texas proved to be a fertile ground to develop versatile skills and get a taste of music on a regular basis. By 15, Dalton was leading church band, hosting open mic at the Legendary Hills Cafe, and sneaking backstage for the Free Texas Music Series to rub shoulders with the acts that were and are still blazing through the Texas music scene. After meeting Kevin Fowler who was at the time the highest grossing Texas touring act, Kevin took Dalton on as a ranch hand and gave him an opportunity at the big stage. These experiences motivated the decision to pursue music full time after graduation and play every honkytonk, festival, and bar Dalton could manage to break into which include Broken Spoke, Cheatham St., Billy Bobs, Nutty Brown, Hills Cafe, Circleville Store, Cotton Club, River Road Ice House, College Station venues, Stockyards Venues, and many more in Texas. After being a regional and state finalist on Nashville Star and Texaco Country Showdown, Dalton took a job at Peterbilt Motors assembly line to begin paying for his first record. Trips to Nashville to play at the Bluebird Cafe, Cowriting, and honing his guitar craft were all ongoing as he spent 2.5 years developing the freshman sound of "Guitars and Good Times" which gave Dalton the opportunity to hit the road full time when it was completed. The song "Knockout Girl" was his first Music Row song and the voice behind the music was given high reviews by Joe Kelley of CDX and many radio DJ's. When Dalton Located to Nashville full time, Broadway opened its arms and Tootsies, Rippy's, Honkytonk Central were a 24/7 job right away. Dalton also began writing and developing a unique sound and catalogue with prolific songwriters in Nashville as soon as he began his journey there. Since taking on music full time in 2013, Dalton has played altogether over 1000 festivals, bars, casinos, weddings, corporate events, and clubs in TX, OK, LA, MS, AL, NC, KY, TN, OH, GA, and FL. The catalogue of songs is in the 100's and the cowriters are a very respected bunch in Nashville and Texas. He has now completed his sophomore album "Hanging the Moon" and is preparing to release the versatile sound to pop, rock, americana, country, and international markets. His performances are filled with distinctive vocal delivery and heartfelt passion. His band "Dalton Gray and the Space Cowboys" consists of two of his brothers Nick and Lawrence Gray, a fiddle player Marcus Garoutte, keyboard player, and lead guitar player. They bring a high energy original show of songs that are stylistically unique blending classic rock, country, and pop and a lot of soul. These Texas charms are winning hearts touring between Texas and TN full time currently and have 2 radio singles before the year is up as well as the "Hanging the Moon" album release in August 2017. They are based out of Austin TX. The talent and passion behind the story of Dalton Gray and the Space Cowboys is ever unfolding and will leave an unforgettable impression wherever it is witnessed

mt. juliet | live music | scott honaker & jason jordan

From an early age, Scott Honaker was inspired and surrounded by music. Music was always a part of the family. Growing up in St. Albans, West Virginia, Scott is the youngest of 4 kids. Scott first began singing along with his dad’s guitar playing and singing. Throughout his school days, Scott began singing in the choir at school, and in school plays. A few piano lessons early on would help later on with his piano playing.

Scott picked up the guitar at 13 and with the help of his dad, taught himself how to play. Learning songs from Marty Robbins, Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, and Buck Owens all the way to learning songs by bands like Poison, The Beatles, Deep Purple. Scott began honing his singing and playing skills. Scott learned to play drums and percussion while performing in his high school band. Scott also performed in theater productions during his high school years as a vocalist and actor in shows such as “Showboat”, “Richard the III” and Rogers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella”.

Scott joined his first band, Altar Image, at age 19, as lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and keyboard player. After five years, and three CD’s, the band disbanded. Scott began the journey to the next chapter.

While visiting Nashville, a friend’s encouragement to meet with his songwriter friends, started the wheels turning on becoming a songwriter. Scott later co-wrote 3 songs with legendary songwriter Don Goodman, as well as writing with hit songwriter, Becky Hobbs. In November of 2003, Scott recorded his first EP demo CD with the songs “Comin’ Home” and “The Love That Never Returns” to name a few. Six months later, in 2004, Scott and is wife Tara moved from WV to Nashville. Scott has been a regular at many writers’ rounds including ones at the Commodore Lounge, Broken Spoke, Douglas Corner, and the world famous Bluebird Café.

Scott wrote and co-wrote a collection of songs over the next few years that became his debut CD, “Who Made the Road” in 2009. The CD was recorded and produced entirely by Scott at his home in Mt, Juliet, and TN. Scott plays guitars, bass, mandolin, piano, drums, and sings all vocals on the disc.

In 2013, Scott joined a group of friends as part of Weaver Country Band, backing up Florida native and up and coming country artist, Ryan Weaver by playing guitar, keyboards, banjo, and singing background vocals. Scott has been fortunate enough to play many shows with Ryan Weaver including 2014 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, 2013 Tootsies Birthday Bash, and Operation Troop Aid Block Party on Broadway in Downtown Nashville.

Scott has been nominated for the 2015 Song of the Year at the New Country Music Awards in Nashville for his song, “The Love That Never Returns”, and is nominated for the 2015 Indieville TV Award for Guitar Artist of the Year.

Scott's new CD release, "Four On The Floor", became available in early summer 2015 on iTunes and has been featured on Internet radio stations such as Music Road Radio, Countrykanalen Sweden, Renegade Radio Nashville, Hamilton Radio in Australia, and The Country Countdown with Suzy. The moment Olivia and Jordan Ramirez met in 2012 they instantly shared a beautiful connection through music. Unbeknownst to them, the way they sing to each other and understand one another’s musical language is what makes their live performances so special. This couple looks toward the freshness of the future, sweetness of the present and comfort of the past which can be heard in each Hey Babe song. Hey Babe’s influences tend to be bands like The Civil Wars, The Swell Season, Johnnyswim and The Lone Bellow. Clear vocal harmonies, driving acoustic instrumentation and catchy lyrical melodies make for easy listening and deep connection in this duo’s classic covers and original music.

This is just the beginning.

louisville | live music | kristen foreman

Kristen Foreman is an American Singer/Songwriter from Lafayette La.

Being from the heart of cajun country, she was exposed to a rich culture and early on in life those close to her knew she was destined for a career in the music industry. Recently, Foreman has worked on the upcoming release of her first eleven song album 'Feather Tattoo' of which she penned herself. Her album was recorded at the famous Dockside Studios in Maurice, LA and produced by Grammy winning producer, Tony Daigle. Although those around her knew that young Ms. Foreman would be musical, she didn't know for herself until she was a freshman in college. She was at a Lafayette establishment watching local singers when opportunity came knocking on her door. They asked her to sing and what happened next, some would call destiny. The crowd was small, maybe three or four patrons, but the connection was strong.

Eventually, Foreman branched out on her own and played shows around Louisiana throughout her college career.  The release of her debut album was the dawn of a new chapter for Foreman. She then began traveling as a true solo artist playing shows all over the country.

With her biggest Passion being songwriting, you can hear her influences all over her music.  From her favorite artist Lee Ann Womack, to some of her favorite songwriters Lori McKenna and Natalie Hemby, all mixed into one package called Kristen Foreman. What we have learned is Kristen Foreman is as Country as it comes, a soulful singer that you should fall in love with.

Vanessa Darien is a hard-bitten lyricist with a flare for Americana Folklore. But Americana is not just an imagined theme for Vanessa, but something she has been strongly rooted in since a young age. Hailing from Weatherford, TX, Vanessa was raised in a home which also functioned as her father John's machine shop; it was in this shop Vanessa would become well versed in some of the finest American Roots music. From a junkyard of rusted cars, and a cast of characters both eclectic and eccentric, this Southern upbringing would lay the foundation for Vanessa's future in songwriting.

Vanessa has spent the past several years playing across Texas, from dusty beer joints to theater venues and everywhere in-between. In her travels, she has shared the stage with many artists including Uncle Lucius, Mike McClure, John Fullbright, Ian Moore, Cody Canada & The Departed, and Johnathan Tyler.

Apart from solo writing and works, Vanessa has also established many musical friendships and collaborations, with writing partners Joey Green, Maren Morris, Steven Cooper, and Ryan Michael of The Roomsounds. With a tight-knit group of musicians, and the help of producer/musician Beau Patrick Bedford, Vanessa has just completed a 6 song EP of new material entitled "Silent Sparrow" which was released June 3rd, 2014.

Honey and Blue have just released a colorful new look and even brighter sound for their second album titled album 'All The Feels'.

The band, a self-described mix of pop, blues and soul, is fronted by singer/songwriters Adam Darling and Stephanie Amber. Appropriately named, Honey and Blue combines Darling’s sultry, bluesy sounds with Amber’s soulful, whimsical take on lyrics and harmony. Recently on WCBE (NPR), the band's much anticipated second album has finally arrived. 'All The Feels' showcases an entirely new sound to the band featuring Dwight Bailey on bass who is fresh off a tour with Dr. John and local jazz legend James Gaiters on drums.

Born and raised in Ohio, Darling met Amber (a New York native) while working at the same restaurant in Los Angeles. The two were both pursuing a career in music and quickly hit it off, writing together for more than a year before forming their band. After performing all over LA, at sought-after venues like The House of Blues and The Hotel Cafe, the duo moved back to the Midwest to continue work on their first album. Once the duo arrived in Columbus they teamed up with Dwight Bailey and created their self titled first album.

mt. juliet | live music | dalton gray

These experiences motivated the decision to pursue music full time after graduation and play every honky tonk, festival, and bar Dalton could manage to break into which include Broken Spoke, Cheatham St., Billy Bobs, Nutty Brown, Hills Cafe, Circleville Store, Cotton Club, River Road Ice House, College Station venues, Stockyards Venues, and many more in Texas. When Dalton Located to Nashville full time, Broadway opened its arms and Tootsies, Rippy's, Honky Tonk Central were a 24/7 job right away. The catalogue of songs is in the 100's and the co writers are a very respected bunch in Nashville and Texas.
