The restless is a Nashville based Pop performance duo composed of Sisters Rachal and Emily Schmieder. Growing up together, Rachal and Emily began performing and writing songs at songwriting showcases and festivals in Tennessee. After brief experimentation with country music, in 2016, Rachal and Emily decided to fully collaborate as Pop Duo "The restless," and The EP "Coming Alive" was released as a representation of the two artists coming together. The restless have now performed over 150 live shows including Nashville's Rocketown & B.B King's Blues Bar; and have made appearances on WSM Opry Radio and WDVX Knoxville. They have also placed in the Top 5 for the "Battle for the Big O" band competition, as well as won Kentucky STLP Song of the Year in 2016 with entry "Phone Calls to Heaven." Recently, The restless performed at Kentucky's Board of Education Meeting at The Galt House Louisville, in front of an audience of over 1,000 educators. The restless influences include artists such as Ed Sheeran, Ingrid Michaelson, and Oh Wonder. Currently, The restless are currently writing and working towards cultivating their sound as Pop artists, and recently released a song called "Ego" on Spotify and Apple Music.
